At The Drive-In | Arcasenal

The opening track from At The Drive-In’s monumental album Relationship Of Command probably proves best what this band was about. I mean, listen to this, there’s so much power, energy, anger and brilliance in one just this one song. As an opener, it’s the runway to one of the best rock albums of the last ten years, you can practically smell what their live shows were like.

I remember the day I saw them play one of their first shows in Germany in a tiny venue in Cologne fitting no more than 100 people. To this day, I haven’t seen another band with the same level of Holy Crap like they did back then.

This record is a classic and you should own it.

Omg if you don’t own this record, then shame on you.

Day 03- The five songs you would have with you on a desert island and why

So…. this could be hard for some of the songs but here we go

#1. Pachuca Sunrise By Minus The Bear… Hands down my favorite song of all time. This song can change my mood from fucking horrible to everything is ok.
youtube

#2. Either Today By Jeremy Larson… This song is amazing the live  version on youtube is crazy… and anytime I hear this song it reminds me of someone who for some reason i will always care about even though I shouldn’t.
youtube

or

My Own Sinking Ship By Good Old War… This song is the last 6 months of my life and its just sums up a lot.
youtube

#3. Virginia by The Clipse… You can say they are not but to me they are the best duo of all time yes yes yes I am a Outkast fan but nothing say home for me like the Clipse I’m from Hampton they are from the city next to me its a given.
youtube

#4. Floater by Every Time I Die… Hot Damn! is my favorite CD by them. This was on my pre—game playlist before every hockey game I played in Juniors and its just a good song. I think the only person I met in the past 6 years thats likes ETID more than me is Lindsey.
youtube

#5. Daylight By Matt & Kim… This song and CD is more or less all I played last summer for some dumb reason and its just a all around good song and is also a good mood changer.
youtube

This was so stupidly hard and has no bering on the music I like. My  range of music is so wide and you would not expect half of the shit I have in my iTunes.

Let me know what you think…
